The Swedish company Rebase Energy is an open and collaborative energy modeling platform for planning and optimising distributed energy resources. Its vision is to accelerate the energy transition by empowering energy innovators with data and digital tools. Their core values are openness/open source, collaboration, community and developer-first.

The goal was to redesign the original logo, keep certain elements for recognizability but add extra layers of meaning to achieve a more unique look.

Colors

We chose to keep the original colors of the logo and modify them slightly. Turquoise can be found in the natural world, often in combination with deep blues and bright whites. It builds a bridge between an organic green and a cool, technical blue.

Where it began

The initial logo was missing some content and depth regarding the product and the company’s focus. The client liked the overall look and wanted to keep the hexagon if possible.
